The ask_
After a successful redesign of the umbrella brand Android is looking to redesign the entire family of Android developers products that coexist under it.
[The role_] Brand and visual designer.
[The timeline_] 2 months.
The client_
Android.
The process_
We start with a deep level of concept of the meaning of each brand, the purpose, and how it could live under its big brand-
What is the purpose of this brand, and what should it communicate? But also - under the business, how should this brand relate to the User? What is the User expecting from it?
We need to consider the concept as a brand, but since Android and its co-brands are pretty much involved with their User, we need to ask how the relationship between this brand and the User is?
After more than 400 explorations with the team and sketches that began with paper and pencil and jumped into a rapid vector sketch just on lines - we were looking to merch the Android big brand concept but also created something that communicates with its own personality but can live to bellow the Android family.
After so many explorations and sketches, we received from the client one GTG good to go, one concept path, we start with color exploration- another couple rounds of styling and color for some of the most liked proposals from the client.
We took a final route map selection of two of the most liked styles and logos.
We ended with a final presentation to take the final decision-creating around eight mockups per logo to sell a story and provide the client a better understanding of how this brand could live under the Android Umbrella and relate with the User in the tech environment.
